I was given an amazing opportunity to photograph these gorgeous ex- race horses. This pair of weavers have been hard at work trying to get their nest ready for the summer. I felt really sorry for the 'Little Guy' as his partner was very fussy and this must have been the fourth attempt he was trying. They spent a lot of time checking out the nest to make sure it met her high standards.
Had an afternoon out at the local coffee shop and here are some photos from their beautiful gardens.
I have really been enjoying my walks around the garden with all the signs of spring everywhere. Here are some birds I spotted enjoying the sun. Young dove sunning itself Dove sitting on her nest Dove keeping watch at the top of a branch Doves chilling together on a branch near the top of the pepper tree Weaver busying constructing his nest
The first signs of spring are here at last. So glad winter is over and the warmer weather is here. Took these photos in the garden during my daily walk around. Enjoy!
Had the spray on in the garden this morning and here are some of the visitors the water attracted. Sun-bird enjoying a nice bath A pair of Weaver birds taking turns getting their feet wet. Cape White Eyes having a dip Pool party anyone? Sparrow with the puddle all to herself. Weaver bird inching closer to the puddle. Indian Mynah taking centre stage. Bulbul chilling on the lower branches of a tree. Dove perched on a pepper tree branch.
Our favourite time of the day - walkies and exploring everywhere. My babies love spending time with me enjoying the garden especially now that winter is coming to an end.
